I visited India with my fiance, she is a foreigner. We landed in Delhi and I wanted her to see my hometown ie Indore. We took a cab from Airport to Aerocity and then went for humayun’s tomb. 
Within 3 hours, see what all happened:
1. First cab driver thought I am a foreigner too as I look like arab/persian he called someone &amp; said ‘bahot accha maal baitha hai aaj kuch jugaad karo isse leke jaane ka’ but we reached aerocity as ride was short.
2. We went to humayun’s tomb in cab, on the way the driver was touching himself while seeing my fiance. I was pukish.
3. We reached and went inside, every other idiot man was staring her &amp; other white woman.
4. We came back hotel, booked our tickets to sri lanka.

Never thought I would say this,BUT if your daughter or loved ones ever get missing or you feel that person is in danger n can't be communicated with file an official missing complaint as soon as possible! I feel she could have been saved if people around were her concerned about her and took actual steps-

1) Police aren't the best in our country,but at least they could have helped in rounding off places,the slight possibility that somehow they would have been able to trace her friend circle n could have helped locate her faster is so heartbreaking!
                                (In this case,her phone was thrown out by these guys,her family wasn't in contact with her for days,they filed a missing report and the same day she was found (April 4) for so many days they didn't even know where she was, couldn't contact her,i can't even believe how heartwrenching it might be to not know about your kids whereabout when you are thinking that your kid might be at work and might be busy)

2) Society - she was being transferred to tens of places yet none of the people around her thought that the woman was intoxicated or didn't arrive with her own will?
                 This same society sees clearly when a girl meets a guy in another colony but won't bat an eye when they are seeing that just one girl is there with a group of guys n doesn't look well. 
             If even one of them had the actual thought to help n thought of checking if she is good,or filed a complaint,or the spa place where she was working,why nobody asked around why she was missing for so many days(without any prior holiday break) or asked around for her whereabout? this girl could have been saved! 
            That's the truth,in an ideal world she shouldn't have suffered this atrocity to begin with.

3) I don't care,how strained your relationship is with that individual,but if you see that the person couldn't be in contact,and you feel that filing an complain could be wrong(which is stupid,what is more important respect or safety? Ghar leke jaoge respect n honour ko,ya khajaoge?) then freaking contact their friendlist,colleagues,anybody that person is in often contact with! Idc if you have to go to their work place/home,but at least do the bare minimum!

Notice how the same people who prevent couples from having consensual sex in a hotel, citing "prostitution" as an excuse, somehow did not notice that a drugged woman showed up with multiple men. If a sufficient number of belligerent men are running the show, then they will let anything happen.

She was threatened with the video being released, and the threat worked because of how we react to revenge porn. She couldn't approach employees of hotels and bars for help, because there are no programs to ensure that they are safe resources. She couldn't even find help in the intervals she was away from them. At this victim's age, I wouldn't be surprised if she was scared of going home, scared of her parents knowing what happened, scared of her parents seeing the video. Even now that she is back home, I am scared that instead of helping her move on into a better life, her parents will restrict her opportunities and tank her career in the name of safety. Her parents also didn't complain early in her disappearance--a classic symptom of social judgement and corrupt police.

This wasn't just gang rape, and yes I know how horrific it is to write "just" before that term. This was also trafficking. The change in location and rotating captors are a classic indicator. This reads like a test run to identify if she will escape, if anyone will miss her, if it is strategic to ship her off into a larger network of rapists. I am almost certain they have multiple women in their rotation, picking them and dropping them off as convenient. In developed nations, traffickers have hidden locations where they "break in" their victims. Yes, that means repeated rape until she stops fighting and becomes a dead-inside shell of her former self. In our country, they don't need secret houses, because they can stash her at a public beach, sure of our apathy.

And of course, some knights in the thread will complain how they don't help women because they want to avoid being accused of rape. I want to let them know that your imagined world, where men helped women in these situations, never existed. It is almost common knowledge in my female circles that if a man is saving you from a rapist, be prepared to at least be molested by the rescuer before he drops you home. It's the "good man", often a policeman, collecting his price. This is the level of mistrust that we developed based on generational wisdom of how the world works. Compared to that, the chances of accusation fraud are much smaller. Trusting other people always has risks, but currently women shoulder the majority of that risk. If you can reduce women's risk by a lot by increasing your own risk by just a little, why wouldn't you take it?

This cycle will continue, A FIR will be registered, one of the rapist will be from a wealthy or political background and all the charges will be dropped, if there's too much outrage one scapegoat will be chosen and then he will receive bail for the rest of his life will the girl and her parents will face harassment by police and court.

The more I learn about the horrific details of this case, the more I am left feeling helpless and speechless at the sad state of our society.

The fact that such people exist and can so easily commit such acts, just says so much about our law and order. I find it hard to believe that there was no one who noticed them, suspected the situation of being shady.. people saw them and likely decided “not my problem” and these people should also be charged with abetment.
